Manchester United chief executive, Ed Woodward's home is now being protected by police after angry fans attacked his Cheshire mansion on Tuesday night.



The attack was done by about 20 balaclava-clad supporters who are said to be members of United's notorious 'Men In Black' hooligan firm. The fans launched fireworks and a smoke bomb before spray painting his gates red in protest of how he has been running the club since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.







Luckily for Woodward, 48, his wife, and their young twins were not at home when the thugs attacked the property.







Cheshire Police have now launched an investigation after the attack by hooded thugs



In a statement, Police said: "At around 10.45pm on Tuesday, 28 January, Cheshire police were notified of an incident of criminal damage that had taken place earlier this evening with a large group targeting a property in the Nether Peover area,"







"Thankfully no-one was harmed and officers will liaise with security officials over the coming days to establish the full circumstances surrounding this incident and identify those involved."



Manchester United in a statement condemned the "unwarranted attack" and threatened to ban those involved in the act.



"We know that the football world will unite behind us as we work with the police to identify the perpetrators of this unwarranted attack," the club said.

"Anybody found guilty of a criminal offence, or found to be trespassing on this property, will be banned for life by the club and may face prosecution.

"Fans expressing opinion is one thing, criminal damage and intent to endanger life is another. There is simply no excuse for this."

The Guinea Conakry community in Nigeria have asked President Buhari and other African leaders to help stop the 81-year-old President of their country, Alpha Condé, from actualizing his dream of seeking a third term in office.??

Condé, who is Guinea’s first democratically elected president, threw the country into great turmoil recently after he announced plans to seek a referendum to extend his stay in office.??

At a protest held in Abuja, the Leader of the Guinea Conakry community in Nigeria, Mohammed Bah, said


“We are calling on ECOWAS, African Union, United Nations and other African leaders to prevail on Condé to hand over governance.?? The President wants to tamper with the constitution and by the end of his second term, he is trying to organise a referendum to have another 5-6 year term so that he can be president for life and create a kingdom for himself. But all Guineans across the world are against it.

I want to send a message from Abuja that the times are critical for us in Guinea Conakry. Things are very bad there. The country is burning. We are calling on the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari and other African leaders to put hands together before the country burn down.

The international community should intervene now before it is too late. Someone needs to stand up now. We wish this message would be heard.”



Condé was elected as President of Guinea in 2010 for a five-year term. He was reelected in 2015 and his tenure is expected to elapse in December this year.

Deputy Senate President, Omo-Agege was never convicted in US - Nigerian Court rules

A lawsuit seeking to sack Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege on grounds of being convicted in the United States, has been struck out by a Federal High Court in Abuja.



Justice Othman Musa who presided over the case, held that the plantiff wasted the court's time because the Deputy Senate President was never convicted by any court of law nor was he under any criminal sentence.



He thereafter ordered the plantiff to pay N1million to Senator Omo-Agege as damages for the lawsuit.



Justice Musa added that the conviction which can stop a Nigerian from holding a political office for 10 years is that made by a Nigerian court.

Premiership club, Tottenham have completed the signing of Dutch winger, Steven Bergwijn from PSV Eindhoven in a deal worth £27m.



The 22-year-old signed with Tottenham today on a deal that runs until 2025. Steven will wear the No 23 shirt at his new club.



His arrival will reinforce the attacking options at Jose Mourinho's disposal, who hopes to break into the top four in the league table to secure Champions League qualification.



'This is certainly a dream come true. It also feels like the right time to take this step,' Steven Bergwijn told Dutch publication De Telegraaf.



'I have always looked up to a top coach like Mourinho. And now I'm going to play for him. I come here to win prizes.



'The club has already shown last year, in the Champions League, that they can compete. I hope I can show people quickly that I can be important.

Rihanna is reportedly dating A$AP Rocky after splitting from her billionaire beau Hassan Jameel.



Riri split from Saudi billionaire Hassan Jameel last week after about three years of dating. But she has reportedly moved on quickly to rapper A$AP Rocky, according to a report in The Sun.



Speculations began spreading after Rihanna and A$AP Rocky were seen spending time together in New York. The old friends, who were reported to have had a romantic liaison in past years, were seen getting cozy at the 2020 Yams Day Benefit Concert on January 17, the same day Rihanna and Jameel broke up.



It has now been claimed that they shared a hotel suite during the trip.







A source told The Sun’s Bizarre column: "They shared a hotel suite during that trip in New York. However, Rihanna is reluctant to put a label on it as it’s so soon after Hassan.



"They’re really enjoying each other’s company and taking things easy as it’s still early days.

'Legends Never Die': AC Milan pay touching tribute to Kobe Bryant (Photos)

Italian football club, AC Milan paid an emotional tribute to Kobe Bryant in a spectacular way before and during Tuesday's Coppa Italia clash with Torino at the San Siro.



Kobe, who grew up in Italy between the age of 6 and 13, was a strong Milan supporter, with Marco van Basten being his idol. The NBA legend died with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna, along with seven others in a helicopter crash in Calabasas, California on Sunday, January, 26, 2020.





Before the clash between AC Milan and Torino, the words 'Legends Never Die' and 'SempreKobe' - a play on the 'SempreMilan,' or 'AlwaysMilan,' hashtag often used by the club, were displayed on the advertising boards around the San Siro while images of Bryant were shown on the giant screen during the warm-up period.



As soon as teams came out for kick-off, the stadium light went off as the public announcer paid tribute to Bryant while fans applauded and held up phone lights. The song 'Who wants to live forever' by Queen was then played.



Both teams also wore black armbands. And in the 24th minute, fans around the stadium including a supporter who wore Lakers jerseys with Bryant's name on the back stood to applaud in tribute to Bryant, who wore No 24.



AC later Milan defeated Torino 4-2 in the Coppa Italia clash on Tuesday.
