She told the cameraman:

'In a piece to camera, Kylie says: 'My mom shows up, I didn't invite her and all my sisters are in Cuba so she doesn't know what to do with herself so she's harassing me.'

But Kris said:
'Everyone has been in Cuba now for a few days and I have a little more free time on my hands so I can focus on Kylie a little bit.'

Michael Douglas' son Cameron Douglas has been released from prison after almost 7 years

The son of actor Michael and his ex-wife Diandra, Cameron Douglas who spent nearly seven years in jail after being sentenced to five years for possessing heroin and selling drugs including meth in 2010 has been released.

His initial five year prison term was extended because he smuggled drugs into prison, and he was placed in solitary confinement from 2012 to 2014 at Maryland's Cumberland Federal Corrections Institute.

The 37-year-old's release came early though as he wasn't scheduled to be out until early 2018.

When Cameron was sentenced to jail, his father, Michael was also battling throat cancer.

In May 2016, he told Fox News' Megyn Kelly:

"It broke my heart, the combination. When he was sentenced, I knew the amount of time he was going to be spending in federal prison combined with my early cancer at the same time."He also told Matt Lauer about his son's jail time:

"Look, my son was a drug dealer and he's been trying to kill himself for a while and I can't condone his behavior," he said. "I think the court recognized his drug addiction as well as the crime that he committed. It's an adequate amount of time...to spend in jail, and the best part of it is he will be able to start his life afresh."He also wrote letters for leniency with his wife Catherine Zeta-Jones to help his son, which were made public.

He said:

"The fact that the letters were published was not what we understood". "We believed that they were personal letters to the judge that were to be sealed."Now that Cameron is out, he is ready to tell-all about his experiences and is reportedly writing a book.

A source told Page Six, "Cameron will talk about his struggle being the son and grandson of Hollywood icons, and then his bad decisions which led him to jail, and then solitary confinement.

Bollywood Director convicted of rape, faces seven years to Life in prison

Indian film-maker Mahmood Farooqui has been found guilty of raping an American research student at his Delhi home in March 2015.
Farooqui, who co-directed the 2010 release Peepli Live, with his wife Anusha Rizvi, faces seven years to life I'm prison, according to the Indian Express. The court is slated to hear arguments Tuesday before sentencing him.

The case first came to light when the victim, who was a student from Columbia University, filed a police complaint which led to Farooqui's arrest last June. He was later released on bail as the case went to trial in September.

The case is seen as a landmark as its verdict has been delivered under a 2013 amendment to the criminal law which included forced oral sex as a crime, the complainant's counsel Vrinda Grover told the Express.

"This is perhaps one of the first cases of forced oral sex, which shows two things: that there was a crime for which we did not earlier have an offense named, now it has been recognized as rape. We're also very happy to see that the court relied on very credible evidence that the woman gave."The brutal gang-rape of a young Delhi woman on a moving bus in New Delhi on December 16, 2012 sparked nationwide protests. The outcry led to a call for action against crimes against women which included legal amendments and fast-tracking rape cases.

Farooqui was first introduced to the student, who is in her thirties, by Danish Hussain, a long-time friend of the director. Local reports said that Hussain, in his testimony, said that the victim immediately contacted him after she was assaulted by Farooqui.

According to the Express, the 2012 incident was also referred to in the testimony of the American woman who told the court that she "did not resist" the rape because she feared she would also be killed like the Delhi gang-rape victim.

Farooqui is expected to appeal the verdict and the case could go to a higher court.

"Our fight for justice is by no means over," his wife Anusha Rizvi told the Hindustan Times. "We will approach the High Court for justice that has been denied to us.

APC summons Abdulmumin Jibrin over his allegations of budget padding against Speaker Dogara and others

The National Leadership of APC yesterday wrote a letter to embattled former Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abdulmumin Jibrin, summoning him to appear before it at the National Secretariat of the party today August 2nd.
Jibrin has continued his media campaign against the House Speaker, Yakubu Dogara, three principal officers and nine other lawmakers, accusing them of budget padding and corruption.

In a letter signed by the party’s Deputy National Chairman for the Northern Zone, Lawal Shuaibu, APC said it is totally unacceptable for Jibrin to have resorted to media war against its party members when he had not exhausted the party's internal dispute resolution mechanism.

"As a disciplined party, the constitution of our party has made adequate provisions on ways of resolving any issue among our members. It behoves on the party to take all necessary steps in order to ensure that no member of the Family brings dishonour to the party. To say the least, it is absolutely unacceptable to resort to media war as a means of settling scores without recourse to and/or exhausting the party’s internal dispute resolution mechanism. You are, therefore, by this invitation, expected to appear before the undersigned at the APC National Secretariat on Tuesday, 2nd August, 2016, at 2 p.m. Kindly note that failure to and/or refusal to honour this invitation will amount to a decision you have made not to submit to the party” ‎the letter read
