Nigerians have taken to social media to condemn the re-arrest of Omoyele Sowore on Friday by the operatives of the Department of State Services, DSS, less than 24 hours after he was released.
Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu had earlier ordered the SSS to release Sowore within 24 hours and also pay him N100,000 for improper legal conduct. The SSS then released Mr Sowore only for him and his co-defendant to be re-arrested.
Reacting to the incident, many Nigerians took to their social media platforms tothe Vice President of Nigeria, who is a Professor of Law and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria for not speaking interfering.
"The DSS acting lawlessly because Buhari doesn't want to interfere"
"Sowore supported Buhari against Jonathan. Karma is a bitch"
"Buhari is not aware of Sowore's case"
"DSS is to be blamed not Buhari"
"Osinbajo is only an assistant"

December 6, 2019When SSS attempted to break into the National Assembly, Acting President Osinbajo fired its director-general within a few hours.
Today, SSS actually broke into a federal courtroom with guns, traumatising judges and citizens.
Sowore's case has finally boxed President Buhari in.

December 6, 2019You need not be a fan of Sowore to condemn the rascality of the DSS under this Buhari led government. No respect for the Judiciary anymore and more pathetic is the fact that our VP, Osinbajo SAN is serving under this government that doesn't believe in rule of law.

December 6, 2019Why are people mentioning and blaming
@ProfOsinbajo for the blatant disregard of rule of law and the arrest of Omoyele Sowore inside the court room, we all saw what Osinbajo did when he was acting President. Please direct your anger to Buhari becos he's the C in C.

December 6, 2019Sowore, Buhari, Osinbajo, Falana, DSS
Does it really matter who trends right now? The only thing of note is that the judiciary system seems to no longer be autonomous or free from influence of the executive arm.

December 6, 2019I’m starting to think that if Osinbajo threatens to resign, he might get the Sowore treatment.
Anyway, Tinubu would rather be a slave than let his puppet take a stand.— Ólùsó àti Áfàdúràjagun Íjo Patriarchy (@VillageParrot)
December 6, 2019Democracy made in Nigeria is without the luxury of rule of law as expected. The DSS operate above the law.
