T.I. has called out TMZ after they reported that his sister, Precious Harris had cocaine in her system at the time of her death.
Precious died in February and the cause of her death has been unconfirmed since then. Prior to that, she was involved in a car accident that had her hospitalized and in the ICU.
On Thursday, June 6, TMZ claimed that they had obtained an official autopsy report from the Fulton County medical examiner that revealed the cause of her passing. In the article, they stated that medical documents showed that Precious had cocaine in her system at the time of her death.
T.I. took to his Instagram Stories to slam the report while accusing TMZ of profiting off of people’s pain.
Calling out the outlet and its founder, Harvey Levin, T.I. said: "As long as you’ve known me, Harvey, I’ve been respectful, I’ve been cordial, I’ve been polite, I’ve been kind and I’ve been fair. You just burned that bridge. I hope your story was worth it. You just burned that bridge. To not just me, but everybody around me. All my family. Anybody who stand with me and who stand with Precious, will not stand for you."
TMZ has since taken down the new report and issued an apology.
In the apology, the outlet wrote: “T.I. and his family are hurt and furious, and they have a point. We got this wrong and we regret posting the M.E.'s findings.”
