Buhari should be brought out to debate us, the media should force them out of hiding' - Sowore
Journalist and presidential aspirant, Omoyele Sowore, wants to have a debate with President Buhari and other presidential aspirants.
Speaking on Channels Television, Sowore said that aspirants should be bold enough to participate in debates about policies and projects they will execute if they become president. He added that young and new presidential aspirants should also be given the audience and the opportunity to challenge older aspirants through debate.
“If want you to be more serious, you should be bringing these presidential candidates to debate us. Buhari should be brought out. The media should force them out of their hiding. Let them come and debate the future of Nigeria,” he said.
He argued that contrary to claims, young people have come up with alternatives to the current leaders. “These alternatives will kick out the old guards in 2019. The alternative is here, that is what we should be debating. We should be talking about the fresh ideas that we are bringing on the table. In Nigeria, when we have people like us who have capacity, character, and integrity. We’ve got stamina, intellect, history, and pedigree. Young people are here to take their country to the next level of prosperity. We want to say goodbye to poverty, incompetence and lacklustre kind of leadership.’’

Kenyan woman gives birth to huge 6.3kg baby boy
A 35-year-old woman in Busia, Kenya has given birth to a baby weighing 6.3kgs.
Everlyne Atieno Osinya from Ong’ariama village delivered the baby boy through Caesarean Section at Alupe Hospital.
“I was happy when I delivered a healthy baby even though doctors found that his blood sugar was high but doctors are taking care of him,” she said.
Busia Medical Superintendent Faith Atieno says the bouncing baby has no medical complications despite his huge weight.
“We are still keeping an eye on him because his blood sugar was dropping below normal levels,” Dr. Atieno said.
According to her, women who give birth to babies who weigh more than average usually have a history of diabetes or obesity.
She added that subsequent births of such women also tend to be similar to the first one.
The mother of the newborn said her first child weighed 6kgs but never had any complications.
“The only problem is usually when its time for me to give birth. This time round I decided to only eat vegetables so I would get a smaller baby but I was surprised that the weight remained the same,” Everlyne added.
