Trump and Melania spend "very little to no time together"

US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump hardly spend time together, according to Washington Post.




A friend close to the president revealed that the Trumps live separate lives and hardly do anything together in their personal lives.




"They spend very little to no time together," the friend told Washington Post.










According to current and former aides, the president and first lady often do not eat together at the White House, and people familiar with their schedules claim they spend their free time apart.




This doesn't come as a surprise to many, considering that the couple has been filmed multiple times in awkward poses. There was that one time Melania was seen batting his hand away on a tarmac. There have also been other times where she was seen resisting her husband's touch.




But Melania’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham disagrees with this presentation of their relationship, and told the paper:







Aside from the president’s solo trips, the family spends most evenings together [and Melania] is focused on being a mom. She’s focused on being a wife, and she’s focused on her role as first lady. And that’s it. The rest is just noise.










Social media users do not agree with Grisham's statement and have shared videos of occasions where Melania was seen avoiding Donald Trump's touch.

Dr Zainab Bagudu receives distinguished service merit award from the Nigerian Medical Association

The Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), the highest professional body of Nigerian doctors and dentists has bestowed a merit of honour on one of their own, Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu. The award was presented to Her Excellency by the outgoing president, Prof. Mike Ozovehe Ogirima at the 58th Annual General Meeting held at the International Conference Centre Abuja, on 5th May 6, 2018.







Some of her achievements cited include; advocacy for women’s health with major interest in cancer care, the establishment of the first high tech radio-diagnostic center in Abuja, and subsequently the Medicaid Cancer Foundation known for creating awareness, funding diagnosis and treatment of cancer patients in Nigeria.







As a champion of girl child education in Kebbi she mentors and sponsors various school programs such as Voices for Girl Child, Nursing Education, School health clubs (with concentration on cancer and sickle cell), menstrual health, VVF, drug abuse and creative writing.



Of note was implementation of the CONMESS salary scale for the first time in the state which worked on with the Kebbi State NMA.







Receiving the award, Dr Bagudu said despite a resolve to discourage awards, she did not hesitate when the highest body of her profession deemed her fit. She expressed gratitude to her husband, her family, the health team in Kebbi, the Medicaid family and the NMA. She stated her commitment to continue team work with the Kebbi State health professionals to improve poor indices of the state. Finally, She called on Drs to actively seek political platforms so that they can be a part of policy making at higher levels promising to support those who wish to do so in her locality.







Earlier in the week both VP Prof Yemi Osinbajo and SP, Dr Bukola Saraki given assurance that the law stating 1% of the Consolidated Revenue Fund is set aside for Primary Healthcare in Nigeria would be adhered to.







Established in 1951, the Nigerian Medical Association is the largest medical association in the West African sub-region with over 40,000 members from 36 states and about 19,000 in Diaspora. It's membership spans six major specialties of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Public Health and Laboratory Medicine/Pathology.

It is a sin against God not to have PVCs'' Pastor Adeboye says

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye, says it is a sin against God for a Christian not to have a permanent voters card PVC.



According to the Nation, the clergyman said this when he spoke at a special prayer and thanksgiving for expectant mothers, medics, paramedics and all those seeking medical attention at RCCG’s national headquarters Throne of Grace Parish on Redemption Way in Ebutte Metta, Lagos.



Represented by his Special Assistant on Administration and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, Pastor Adeboye said as 2019 draws nearer and Nigerians will choose those to lead them for another four years, Christians must get their PVCs to choose politicians of their choice. According to the clergyman, the scriptures says give therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s and unto God the things that are God’s.



“Nigerians should be ready to vote for credible and God-fearing people in positions of authority at all levels of governance. Those who are currently in power but are not serving us well should be voted out.” he said
