Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole, says if given the opportunity, he will defeat the Delta state governor, Ifeanyi Okowa in any election in Delta state. Oshiomole said this today May 12th while reacting to a comment credited to PDP governors in the South-South that their party will take over the Edo state government house after the state governorship election holds on September 10th.



“I will defeat Okowa in Delta State. My pedigree speaks for me. My power is not money but my oratory and pedigree. Those who cannot pay salaries want to come and take Edo. We pay salaries before the end of the month. The workers are already kicking against them. We will not allow them take Edo back to Egypt.”he said

If there’s one thing the Kardashian-Jenners agree on when it comes to Blac Chyna and Rob's relationship, it’s the fact she’s been able to help the once troubled star battle his demons.

Kim and Khloe Kardashian discuss their brother’s transformation on the latest episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians and credit the model for working wonders on him.

“Like, don't we kind of think it's a miracle that Rob, who doesn't even show up to Christmas for the past three years, literally he wouldn't leave his room, but the fact that now he's created a Snapchat, the fact that now he wants to be so public, blows my mind," Khloe says.

Kim agrees, adding: "She gave him confidence, more power to her. After Rob and Blac Chyna started dating, Rob is now, like, all over social media and, like, out and about.”

While Kim acknowledges there’s been plenty of drama surrounding their union, she explains she would rather see him happy - even if that is with the ex and baby mother of their sibling’s current boyfriend, Tyga.

“He hasn't been like this in so long that even though there's been some drama. If this is what it takes, then I don't care who he's dating. I'm just so happy that he's feeling better about himself.”

Earlier today we saw the stunning Blake Lively – who defied all the red carpet rules in a red jumpsuit as she posed alongside co-star Kristen Stewart.

The former Gossip Girl actress – who's currently pregnant with her second child with hubby Ryan Reynolds – will no doubt be excited to see the finished Woody Allen film, in which she stars with the Twilight actress.

As the pair joked around together on the red carpet, Kristen showed off her curves in a fitted white skirt and gave fans a glimpse of her toned abs in a white crop top.




The ever-stylish Blake managed a quick outfit change before she arrived for the evening viewing – giving us another sequinned gown to swoon over.

The pregnant star revealed her growing bump in the figure-hugging dress and added to the old-school glamour with loose waves.

Keeping it simple in all-black were Victoria's Secret models Lily Donaldson and Doutzen Kroes who both flaunted their slender physiques in plunging gowns.

Julianne Moore followed in their lead in a curve-hugging dress, which featured sheer panelling and cobras embroidered in sequins. Talk about bad-ass.

In true red carpet style, there were also a few dresses that made an impression for all the wrong reasons, such as the ruffled pink gown from Thai actress Araya A. Hargate – it looks impossible to sit down in.

Reverse your anti-begging law or face dire consequences - Kaduna state beggars tell state governor

Beggars comprising of deaf and dumbs, the blind, crippled, aged persons yesterday staged a protest to the Kaduna state chapter of the Nigerian Union of Journalists where they expressed their displeasure over the anti-begging bill that was signed into law by the state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, last week.

Speaking to journalists at the NUJ secretariat, the beggars said the governor must reverse the law within 7 days or they will be forced to take over the government house. The group described the new law as insensitive to their plight.
