A teenage girl has died and her boyfriend is in hospital fighting for his life after the couple were struck by a bus while walking though a busy city centre.
Schoolgirl Summer Lee Seymour, 15, died from injuries sustained in the accident in Sheffield, just before 5pm on Friday.
Her 17-year-old boyfriend Jake Ford remains in a critical condition in intensive care.
The pair were struck by the bus at the junction of Haymarket and Castle Street, during the Christmas shopping rush .
Summer, a student at Sheffield’s Bradfield High School, died in hospital earlier today.
Just hours after her death, Jake's father Scott posted a message on Facebook , in which he described Summer as a "beautiful angel".

“I never have a problem with words but tonight I am truly at a loss," he wrote.
“I cannot describe the pain and hurt we are all suffering as we mourn the passing of a beautiful young lady at the start of her young life.
“Be safe on your journey beautiful angel RIP.
“My son is currently in intensive care with numerous injuries. I am with him willing and praying. Counting his heartbeats and checking every bleep.
“I would swap places in a heartbeat for you my first born. You are my world. It is going to be a very different future for a lot of people our love and prayers are with you all.
“Please pray for my son. And please pray for the beautiful angel who has been taken to soon thank you.”
A South Yorkshire Police is asking anyone who saw he accident to come forward .
A spokesman said: “It was a particularly busy time of day in the city centre and officers believe there could have been many witnesses.”
