LIB congratulates Nigeria's President-elect, Gen Buhari
The results have finally been read out and Nigeria will soon get a new president, Gen. Mohammadu Buhari. He contested four times, and finally now has victory. Here's a big congratulations to him from all of us at LIB.
About President Jonathan, he's really the hero in all this. His ambition to be president wasn't worth the bloodshed. He conducted a free, fair and credible election regardless of the outcome. He accepted defeat and set a good example. He's a true leader. Let's all thank him for serving us since 2010.

Buhari campaign group call for the arrest of Femi Fani-Kayode
Buhari Support Group has called on the law enforcement agents to effect the arrest of Chief Femi Fani-Kayode for saying that PDP had won in 23 states even when INEC had not announced any results. The group at a press conference in Abuja yesterday March 30th said Fani-Kayode through his action breached the electoral law
"We strongly condemn in its entirety, the recent outburst and blatant misinformation of the general public by Mr. Femi Fani-Kayode that the PDP is already leading in 23 states of the federation. This claim is a total breach of the electoral act and is designed to cause the breach of peace. Gen. Mohammadu Buhari had repeatedly emphasised to his supporters to maintain calmness in that face of provocation by the ruling party. This recent utter exhibition of lawlessness enmeshed in the typical character of impunity by PDP is unacceptable. We ask the security agencies to immediately effect the arrest of Mr. Fani-Kayode for breaching relevant sections of the electoral act which forbids any organ outside INEC from officially declaring election results. His arrest for further questioning will be a clear indication that the security agencies are truly unbiased participants in this electoral process as this declaration is also a breach of both the 1st and 2nd Abuja Peace Accord. We call on the international community and observers to note the steps being taken by PDP to cause severe breach of peace and call them to order. We also ask our supporters to maintain the peace as we await the official announcement from INEC of the authentic result for the March 28th elections.” Media and Publicity Director of the group, Dr. Chidia Maduekwe said

US, UK Govt release joint statement. Say there are signs of political interference in collation of results
The US and UK government have released a joint statement appraising last Saturday's general elections. According to the statement posted on UK's Foreign affairs website here, both government said the elections have largely been peaceful but that there are disturbing indications of political interference in the collation of results. The statement below...
Our governments welcome the largely peaceful vote on 28 March. The Nigerian people have shown a commendable determination to register their vote and choose their leaders. So far, we have seen no evidence of systemic manipulation of the process. But there are disturbing indications that the collation process - where the votes are finally counted - may be subject to deliberate political interference.
This would contravene the letter and spirit of the Abuja Accord, to which both major parties committed themselves. The Governments of the United States and the United Kingdom would be very concerned by any attempts to undermine the independence of the Electoral Commission (INEC), or its Chairman, Prof Jega; or in any way distort the expressed will of the Nigerian people.
Tonto Dikeh sends motivational message to fans
What the actress shared on her instagram page this morning. Very encouraging. Read below...
As you read this, remember you have a warm bed and a cooked meal at home. Everyone wants to be happy, so pay attention. Acknowledge that happiness is not quantified by materialism. I know many people who are reading this right now aren't happy with their lives. I used to think that when I have a nice car and a lot of money I would be happy. Yet on my journey I have met hundreds of people with all of these things, yet none of the happiness. If your bank balance outweighs your sense of purpose, or your only sense of purpose is working to achieve a greater bank balance, you will struggle to find happiness
Some guidelines for happiness I wrote down. Appreciate what you have, gaining more won't make you happy if you aren't happy with what you already have. Live in the moment, don't video everything you see, take it in whilst it is happening, then relive the memories forever. You were there but looking at a phone screen...? Give more than you receive, be it your time, money, gifts, love and laughs. When you give someone your best, the best comes out of you. Stop worrying about your future! Your future is going to happen, it is yours to happen to. If you want something then work towards it, but make sure you are happy on the way there. We are all going to die, concentrate on living. Don't practice escapism because you are unhappy with your reality, be real, keep level headed and make sense of your life. Being high or drunk all the time is a problem, nobody wants to be ill or crazy or both! Life is a journey not a destination, you never want to get too comfortable, comfort is where you put on weight, get slow, become bored. I'm not saying throw yourself out of a plane, but you should try to do something that scares you now and again. Don't worry to much what other people are doing, they are on their own journeys, enjoy yours, try not to compare your behind the scenes life to someone else's highlight reel. Bling from the inside out, not the outside in, as it doesn't work the other way round. What's in your heart and head shines brighter than what's on your wrist and neck. Love your work, this will be a big part of your life.

We Voted APC Because Of Unpaid Salaries – Benue Workers
Many civil servants in Benue State voted massively for the leading opposition All progressives Congress (APC) and other minor political parties because of the salaries owed them by the state government, LEADERSHIP has gathered.
The state workers have insisted that there is no need voting the ruling PDP even as it is the leading party in the state.
They said the party had caused the non-payment of their salaries for several months.
Recall that the Benue state government led by Governor Gabriel Suswam has not paid salaries of workers for months, including that of academic and non-academic staff of tertiary institutions in the state that are currently on strike.
During the presidential and National Assembly elections last Saturday, the visibly angry workers who formed the majority of the voting strength of the agrarian state, blatantly refused to vote for the PDP.
